Mitt Romney has come out against the Confederate flag. This has put the Republican presidential candidates on the spot because they are now being asked questions.

Back to the Washington Post article, the Republican Presidential candidates are mostly saying that it is up to the people of South Carolina to decide. This is a clever avoidance of the issue. Yes, it will be up to the people of South Carolina to decide, but a presidential candidate or anyone else can say whether it would be a good idea or not.

Since it has been confirmed that it was his website, I am going to put here his manifesto. Anyone who has tracked the Council of Conservative Citizens (cofcc.org) will recognize many of the ideas put forth in this manifesto. A lot of these ideas are generally held at large in the neo-Confederate movement.


DYLANN ROOF'S MANIFESTO BELOW

I was not raised in a racist home or environment. Living in the South, almost every White person has a small amount of racial awareness, simply beause of the numbers of negroes in this part of the country. But it is a superficial awareness. Growing up, in school, the White and black kids would make racial jokes toward each other, but all they were were jokes. Me and White friends would sometimes would watch things that would make us think that “blacks were the real racists” and other elementary thoughts like this, but there was no real understanding behind it.

                The event that truly awakened me was the Trayvon Martin case. I kept hearing and seeing his name, and eventually I decided to look him up. I read the Wikipedia article and right away I was unable to understand what the big deal was. It was obvious that Zimmerman was in the right. But more importantly this prompted me to type in the words “black on White crime” into Google, and I have never been the same since that day. The first website I came to was the Council of Conservative Citizens. There were pages upon pages of these brutal black on White murders. I was in disbelief. At this moment I realized that something was very wrong. How could the news be blowing up the Trayvon Martin case while hundreds of these black on White murders got ignored?

                From this point I researched deeper and found out what was happening in Europe. I saw that the same things were happening in England and France, and in all the other Western European countries. Again I found myself in disbelief. As an American we are taught to accept living in the melting pot, and black and other minorities have just as much right to be here as we do, since we are all immigrants. But Europe is the homeland of White people, and in many ways the situation is even worse there. From here I found out about the Jewish problem and other issues facing our race, and I can say today that I am completely racially aware.

                                                                                                Blacks

                I think it is is fitting to start off with the group I have the most real life experience with, and the group that is the biggest problem for Americans.

                Niggers are stupid and violent. At the same time they have the capacity to be very slick. Black people view everything through a racial lense. Thats what racial awareness is, its viewing everything that happens through a racial lense. They are always thinking about the fact that they are black. This is part of the reason they get offended so easily, and think that some thing are intended to be racist towards them, even when a White person wouldnt be thinking about race. The other reason is the Jewish agitation of the black race.

                Black people are racially aware almost from birth, but White people on average dont think about race in their daily lives. And this is our problem. We need to and have to.

                Say you were to witness a dog being beat by a man. You are almost surely going to feel very sorry for that dog. But then say you were to witness a dog biting a man. You will most likely not feel the same pity you felt for the dog for the man. Why? Because dogs are lower than men.

                This same analogy applies to black and White relations. Even today, blacks are subconsciously viewed by White people are lower beings. They are held to a lower standard in general. This is why they are able to get away with things like obnoxious behavior in public. Because it is expected of them.

                Modern history classes instill a subconscious White superiority complex in Whites and an inferiority complex in blacks. This White superiority complex that comes from learning of how we dominated other peoples is also part of the problem I have just mentioned. But of course I dont deny that we are in fact superior.

                I wish with a passion that niggers were treated terribly throughout history by Whites, that every White person had an ancestor who owned slaves, that segregation was an evil an oppressive institution, and so on. Because if it was all it true, it would make it so much easier for me to accept our current situation. But it isnt true. None of it is. We are told to accept what is happening to us because of ancestors wrong doing, but it is all based on historical lies, exaggerations and myths. I have tried endlessly to think of reasons we deserve this, and I have only came back more irritated because there are no reasons.

                Only a fourth to a third of people in the South owned even one slave. Yet every White person is treated as if they had a slave owning ancestor. This applies to in the states where slavery never existed, as well as people whose families immigrated after slavery was abolished. I have read hundreds of slaves narratives from my state. And almost all of them were positive. One sticks out in my mind where an old ex-slave recounted how the day his mistress died was one of the saddest days of his life. And in many of these narratives the slaves told of how their masters didnt even allowing whipping on his plantation.

                Segregation was not a bad thing. It was a defensive measure. Segregation did not exist to hold back negroes. It existed to protect us from them. And I mean that in multiple ways. Not only did it protect us from having to interact with them, and from being physically harmed by them, but it protected us from being brought down to their level. Integration has done nothing but bring Whites down to level of brute animals. The best example of this is obviously our school system.

                Now White parents are forced to move to the suburbs to send their children to “good schools”. But what constitutes a “good school”? The fact is that how good a school is considered directly corresponds to how White it is. I hate with a passion the whole idea of the suburbs. To me it represents nothing but scared White people running. Running because they are too weak, scared, and brainwashed to fight. Why should we have to flee the cities we created for the security of the suburbs? Why are the suburbs secure in the first place? Because they are White. The pathetic part is that these White people dont even admit to themselves why they are moving. They tell themselves it is for better schools or simply to live in a nicer neighborhood. But it is honestly just a way to escape niggers and other minorities.

                But what about the White people that are left behind? What about the White children who, because of school zoning laws, are forced to go to a school that is 90 percent black? Do we really think that that White kid will be able to go one day without being picked on for being White, or called a “white boy”? And who is fighting for him? Who is fighting for these White people forced by economic circumstances to live among negroes? No one, but someone has to.

                Here I would also like to touch on the idea of a Norhtwest Front. I think this idea is beyond stupid. Why should I for example, give up the beauty and history of my state to go to the Norhthwest? To me the whole idea just parralells the concept of White people running to the suburbs. The whole idea is pathetic and just another way to run from the problem without facing it.

                Some people feel as though the South is beyond saving, that we have too many blacks here. To this I say look at history. The South had a higher ratio of blacks when we were holding them as slaves. Look at South Africa, and how such a small minority held the black in apartheid for years and years. Speaking of South Africa, if anyone thinks that think will eventually just change for the better, consider how in South Africa they have affirmative action for the black population that makes up 80 percent of the population.

                It is far from being too late for America or Europe. I believe that even if we made up only 30 percent of the population we could take it back completely. But by no means should we wait any longer to take drastic action.

                Anyone who thinks that White and black people look as different as we do on the outside, but are somehow magically the same on the inside, is delusional. How could our faces, skin, hair, and body structure all be different, but our brains be exactly the same? This is the nonsense we are led to believe.

                Negroes have lower Iqs, lower impulse control, and higher testosterone levels in generals. These three things alone are a recipe for violent behavior. If a scientist publishes a paper on the differences between the races in Western Europe or Americans, he can expect to lose his job. There are personality traits within human families, and within different breeds of cats or dogs, so why not within the races?

                A horse and a donkey can breed and make a mule, but they are still two completely different animals. Just because we can breed with the other races doesnt make us the same.

                In a modern history class it is always emphasized that, when talking about “bad” things Whites have done in history, they were White. But when we lern about the numerous, almost countless wonderful things Whites have done, it is never pointed out that these people were White. Yet when we learn about anything important done by a black person in history, it is always pointed out repeatedly that they were black. For example when we learn about how George Washington carver was the first nigger smart enough to open a peanut.

                On another subject I want to say this. Many White people feel as though they dont have a unique culture. The reason for this is that White culture is world culture. I dont mean that our culture is made up of other cultures, I mean that our culture has been adopted by everyone in the world. This makes us feel as though our culture isnt special or unique. Say for example that every business man in the world wore a kimono, that every skyscraper was in the shape of a pagoda, that every door was a sliding one, and that everyone ate every meal with chopsticks. This would probably make a Japanese man feel as though he had no unique traditional culture.

                I have noticed a great disdain for race mixing White women within the White nationalists community, bordering on insanity it. These women are victims, and they can be saved. Stop.

                                                                                                Jews

                Unlike many White naitonalists, I am of the opinion that the majority of American and European jews are White. In my opinion the issues with jews is not their blood, but their identity. I think that if we could somehow destroy the jewish identity, then they wouldnt cause much of a problem. The problem is that Jews look White, and in many cases are White, yet they see themselves as minorities. Just like niggers, most jews are always thinking about the fact that they are jewish. The other issue is that they network. If we could somehow turn every jew blue for 24 hours, I think there would be a mass awakening, because people would be able to see plainly what is going on.

                I dont pretend to understand why jews do what they do. They are enigma.

                                                                                                Hispanics

                Hispanics are obviously a huge problem for Americans. But there are good hispanics and bad hispanics. I remember while watching hispanic television stations, the shows and even the commercials were more White than our own. They have respect for White beauty, and a good portion of hispanics are White. It is a well known fact that White hispanics make up the elite of most hispanics countries. There is good White blood worht saving in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and even Brasil.

But they are still our enemies.

                                                                                                East Asians

I have great respent for the East Asian races. Even if we were to go extinct they could carry something on. They are by nature very racist and could be great allies of the White race. I am not opposed at all to allies with the Northeast Asian races.

                                                                                                Patriotism

                I hate the sight of the American flag. Modern American patriotism is an absolute joke. People pretending like they have something to be proud while White people are being murdered daily in the streets. Many veterans believe we owe them something for “protecting our way of life” or “protecting our freedom”. But im not sure what way of life they are talking about. How about we protect the White race and stop fighting for the jews. I will say this though, I myself would have rather lived in 1940's American than Nazi Germany, and no this is not ignorance speaking, it is just my opinion. So I dont blame the veterans of any wars up until after Vietnam, because at least they had an American to be proud of and fight for.

                                                                                                An Explanation

                To take a saying from a film, “I see all this stuff going on, and I dont see anyone doing anything about it. And it pisses me off.”. To take a saying from my favorite film, “Even if my life is worth less than a speck of dirt, I want to use it for the good of society.”.

                I have no choice. I am not in the position to, alone, go into the ghetto and fight. I chose Charleston because it is most historic city in my state, and at one time had the highest ratio of blacks to Whites in the country. We have no skinheads, no real KKK, no one doing anything but talking on the internet. Well someone has to have the bravery to take it to the real world, and I guess that has to be me.

Unfortunately at the time of writing I am in a great hurry and some of my best thoughts, actually many of them have been to be left out and lost forever. But I believe enough great White minds are out there already.

SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS Lt. Commander-in-Chief on the deaths of African Americans at the hands of the police

In the March/April 2015 issue of the Confederate Veteran, page 8, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Lt. Commander-in-Chief Thomas V. Strain Jr. has the following commentary one what is obviously about the recent cases where African Americans have died at the hands of the police.

The United States are enduring some very troubling times currently. We have young men with no guidance attacking law-abiding citizens and law enforcement officers in the streets of this country. Moreover, when the officers do what is necessary in many cases to remedy the situation and protect the innocent, they are being called murderers. Following this, we have people taking to the streets, rioting and looting local businesses all in the name of "peace and tranquility." This is after the officers are investigated and all the facts prove they had no other recourse than to use deadly force to resolve the situation. After such findings, the riots and looting commence once again. This is not a black-and-white issue: it is a right-versus-wrong issue. 

To make matters worse, a certain group of self-appointed leaders, who wish to prosper from the very people they claim to be helping, don't speak of peace, and instead call for riots and more violent acts. When the few people who have the courage to stand and speak against these actions and offer truly peaceful solutions, encouraging all concerned to sit down and discuss the real problems, they are automatically labeled a racist. 

Then Lt. Commander-in-Chief Strain says:

You are probably wondering what this has to do with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the answer is a simple one.

The question occurs to me, how is this an issue of Confederate heritage? Strain Jr. explains as follows:

Reconstruction is where the very seeds were planted for such situations and in those years is found the root causes of where much of this began. Once all power was usurped from the States and transferred to a central government which would later take the form of a "direct democracy," it was expected this same government would use the power of its vast centralized offices to create a form of dependency -- in return for votes, of course. And, as Thomas Jefferson said in his notes on the State of Virginia, "Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition." 

This should tell people that the SCV is a right wing political organization and not just an organization of historical sentimentalists. Before news media and legislators they may talk about "heritage" but these excerpts should make it obvious that the SCV has a political agenda.

And I suppose it is sort of obvious, but the SCV doesn't seem to be getting the message that #BlackLivesMatter.

The cover article for May/June 2012 Confederate Veteran is “Lincoln, Federal Supremacy, and the Death of States’ Rights,” pages 16-22, 60-62, by James Ronald Kennedy, with a website www.kennedytwins.com.  Kennedy is one of the headline speakers at the 2015 Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) National Reunion in Richmond, Virginia.

Some selections from the article:

In an absolute monarchy or dictatorship such decision-making authority resides in the person of the king or dictator. In a mass democracy such as we have in contemporary America, sovereignty resides within the supreme Federal government. The Federal government is ultimately supreme – its will must be obeyed. “We the people” of the once-sovereign states now approach our masters in Washington, DC, as subjects, not citizens. We, like the subjects of a king or dictator, approach our government as supplicants, with outstretched hands pleading, “Please, may we have just a little more freedom or keep just a little more of our income?” [Italics in the original.] [pp. 22]

Few Anti-Federalists were able to envision the oppressive horror a centralized supreme Federal government would eventually compel Americans to endure. [pp. 22]

In this dark hour of American political history it is possible to see the potential for the 

reemergence of the ancient American political principle of real States’ Rights. [pp. 23]

James Ronald Kennedy recommends a passage of a constitutional amendment to solve what he sees is a problem. It is an amendment which would effectively dissolve national government in any state on the whim of that state. He doesn’t advocate violence. However, when you characterize the American government as an “oppressive horror” others might take other actions to what they perceive as a “horror.”

In the Sept./Oct. 2014 issue of Confederate Veteran, pp. 16-22, 24,56-62,64-65, is an article, “Our Re-United Country?: The Sad Reality of Reconciliation,” by James Ronald Kennedy and Walter Donald Kennedy, both headline speakers at the 2015 SCV National Reunion in Richmond.

The article is all about how the South is abused. The American government is a tyranny and Reconstruction isn’t an attempt to establish a multiracial democracy, but an oppression of the South, and the Kennedy’s specifically condemn scholars who think Reconstruction was a good thing.

We live in an era in which real states’ rights does not exist; we live in an era in which “we the people” of a free republic the once-sovereign states are no longer citizens of a free republic but are mere subjects to an all-powerful and supreme federal government.  [pp. 17]

After all, were they not at the mercy of a cruel and triumphant invader? After the War and during the active phase of Reconstruction, the South had no means of resistance to Federal tyranny. [pp. 17]

Rejecting that idea that secession was done to preserve slavery the Kennedys write:

“… the War was fought for Southern independence and to prevent the enslavement of all Southerners to an aggressive and evil Federal Empire – an empire which was determined to make political, economic, and social slaves of all Southerners, regardless of skin color. [pp. 21]

Notice that it is an “evil” Federal Empire and the capitalization of Empire.

On page 18 the Kennedys quote both Robert E. Lee and Alexander H. Stephens (VP of the Confederacy) warning that the loss of states’ rights would result in a despotism this enlisting both Confederate leaders and heroes to the members of the SCV in their claim that America is a despotism.

There are sections titled “Political Subjugation – the Price of Reconciliation,” “Economic Subjugation – the Price of Reconciliation,” and “Social Subjugation – the Price of Reconciliation,” and “Cultural Distortion – the Price of Reconciliation.”

Many people in the South do not believe the Confederacy was a good thing, support civil rights and are proud to be Americans. They are denounced in a section “Of Quislings, Vichymen and Scalaways – Soldiers of Reconciliation.” The Kennedys state:

Thus the reconciliation movement has provided the Federal Empire with legions of Southern cooperationists to help it maintain its rule – a rule of centralized Federal tyranny worst than the one that America’s Founding Fathers seceded from in 1776.” [pp. 60]

The Kennedys solution is their constitutional amendment they had printed in the May/June 2012 issue.

Ideas Have Consequences


Using the wedge of anti-racism, cultural Marxists orchestrated judicial and legislative changes to society over the course of decades - e.g. Brown v. Board of Education in 1955, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Immigration Reform Act of 1965. These supposedly noble triumphs quickly transmogrified into forced busing, the legalized reverse discrimination of affirmative action and an uncontrolled Flood of culturally alien Third-World immigrants. The cultural Marxists relentlessly hammered away at Western cultural norms using the sledge of anti-racism as a battering ram to bring down the walls of traditional Western culture. So successful have they been in this assault that the natural, non-violent and harmless affinity of people for their own kind, their own culture and their own traditions, values and religious beliefs has come to be viewed as the moral equivalent of slavery or mass murder-a conditioned response that is by now so ingrained that it is largely self-imposed."


Once one accepts the illogic of Orwellian cultural doublespeak, any belief is possible." Thus, the absurd premise that racism is miraculously not applicable to people of other races who have negative attitudes about whites and Christians goes largely unquestioned. Black agitators openly call for the murder of whites and the rape and defilement of white women - indeed the genocidal extermination of the white race - with impunity." Mexicans liv¬ing in America, many illegally, create political action organizations such as La Raza and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA) to advocate for separation of the Southwest from the United States and its establishment as the independent but Mexican-aligned nation of Aztlan.

But there is worse yet to come. Immigration is profoundly changing the demographic face of America. Massive Third-World immigration is the cultural Marxists' ultimate weapon in breaking the hegemony of Western culture. But, has anyone considered the nature of post-Western society, when Western people are no longer numerous enough to win elections? Does anyone seriously believe that the non-Western minority, having become the majority, will turn around and extend affirmative action and protected class benefits to the former majority? 13 A pattern of fail¬ure to sustain democratic forms of government is repeated all too often outside the West, from China and North Korea

to Mexico and Latin America to the Middle East to the almost uniformly bleak (and often murderous) landscape of post-colonial sub-Saharan Africa. Would America's current majority feel secure living in a country ruled by the likes of ldi Amin? The time to think about such questions is now, not after we have been placed in the position of casting "one man, one vote - one time.?"

Robert E. Lee wanted African Americans out of Virginia

ROBERT E. LEE WANTS AFRICAN AMERICANS OUT OF VIRGINIA

From the “Report of the Joint Committee on Reconstruction,” of congress, pages 135-136, testimony of Robert E. Lee before the Congressional Joint Committee on Reconstruction in response to questions by Mr. Blow, on February 17, 1866. Blow is asking all the questions and Robert E. Lee is giving all the answers.

By Mr. Blow:

Question. Has there been any considerable change in the number of the negro population?

Answer. I suppose it has diminished, but I do not know.

Question. Diminished in consequences of more negroes going south than was made up by the natural increase? 

Answer. My general opinion is that the number has diminished and for the reason you give. 

Question. I suppose that the mass of the negroes in Virginia, at the present time, are able to work; that there are not many helpless ones among them?

Answer. There are helpless ones, certainly, but I do not know to what extent. 

Question. What is your opinion about its being an advantage to Virginia to keep them there at all. Do you not think that Virginia would be better off if the colored population were to go to Alabama, Louisiana, and the other southern States?

Answer. I think it would be better for Virginia if she could get ride of them. That is no new opinion with me. I have always thought so, and have always been in favor of emancipation—gradual emancipation. 

Question. As a matter of labor alone, do you not think that the labor which would flow into Virginia, if the negroes left it for the cotton States, would be far more advantageous to the State and to its future prosperity?

Answer. I think it would be for the benefit of Virginia, and I believe that everybody there would be willing to aid it. 

Question. And do you not think it is peculiarly adapted to the quality of labor which would flow into it, from its great natural resources, in case it was made more attractive by the absence of the colored race.

Answer. I do. 

Why Virginia Seceded. Seems to have been over the issue of slavery.

Virginia

The Virginia State Library in 1965 published the four volume set, Proceedings of the Virginia State Convention of 1861, and in 1866 the supplementary three volume set Virginia Journals and Papers: Virginia State Convention of 1861. The subject of slavery rages through it. The Virginia Convention had a committee on Federal Relations which proposed 14 resolutions which were adopted by the Convention and a proposed13^th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to protect slavery which had eight sections. The Convention was interrupted in its endorsement of the entire proposed 13^th Amendment by the start of the Civil War during the debate over section 5, and sections 6  through 8 never came up for discussion.

Jubal A. Early, who would later be the president of the reorganized Southern Historical Society, was a member of this convention voting on the resolutions and amendments to the resolutions and participating in the debates.

Also at the Convention, former President Tyler spoke to the convention at great length, critical of the Washington Peace Convention’s proposals as being insufficient to protect the interests of slavery. One of his criticisms is that the proposed amendments to the United States Constitution would prevent carving up the Caribbean into slave states and I have the extract of the speech following the resolutions and the sections of the proposed 13^th Amendment.

Of the 14 resolutions, only the resolutions pertaining to slavery are included here. The others concern matters such as the 5^th resolution to take possession of the forts of the United States.

The following are three sections, first the Resolutions, second the proposed 13^th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and the third section, former President Tyler’s speech.

The resolutions are as adopted. The Proceedings includes the original Resolution as introduced, but subsequent pages may and usually only mention proposed changes and whether they are adopted. The pages listed are the pages which cover the introduction, discussion and final adoption of the resolution.

RESOLUTIONS

Resolution 1: Be it resolved and declared by the people of the State of Virginia in Convention assembled, That the States which composed the United States of America, when the Federal Constitution was formed were independent sovereignties, and in adopting that instrument the people of each State agreed to associate with the people of the other States, upon a footing of exact equality. It is the duty therefore, of the common Government to respect the rights of the States and the equality of the people thereof, and, within the just limits of the Constitution, to protect, with equal care, the great interests that spring from the institutions of each.

Resolution 2: African slavery is a vital part of the social system of the States wherein it exists, and as that form of servitude existed when the Union was formed, and the jurisdiction of the several States over it within their respective limits, was recognized by the Constitution, any interference to its prejudice by the federal authority, or by the authorities of other States, or by the people thereof, is in derogation from plain right, contrary to the Constitution, offensive and dangerous.

The choice of functionaries of a common Government established for the common good, for the reason that they entertain opinions and avow purposes hostile to the institutions of some of the States, necessarily excludes the people of one section from participation in the administration of Government, subjects the weaker to the domination of the stronger section, leads to abuse, and is incompatible with the safety of those whose interests are imperiled; the formation therefore, of geographical or sectional parties in respect to Federal politics is contrary to the principles on which our systems rests, and tends to its overthrow.

Fourth Resolution. Proceedings of the Virginia State Convention of 1861, Vol. 3 pp. 127, amended Resolution 4 passes on page 144, April 4, 1861.

The Territories of the United States constitute a trust to be administered by the General Government, for the common benefit of the people of the several States, and any policy in respect to such Territories calculated to confer greater benefits on the people of one part of the United States, than on the people of another part, is contrary to equality and prejudicial to the rights of some for whose equal benefits the trust was created. If the equal admission of slave labor and free labor into any Territory, excites unfriendly conflict between the systems, a fair partition of the Territories ought to be made between them, and each system ought to be protected within the limits assigned to it, by the laws necessary for its proper development.

7. To remove the existing causes of complaint much may be accomplished by the Federal and State Governments; the laws for the rendition of fugitives from labor and of fugitives from justice shall be made more effectual, the expenditures of the Government may be reduced within more moderate limits and the abuses that have entered into the Administrative departments reformed. The State authorities may repeal their unfriendly and unconstitutional legislation, and substitute in its stead such as becomes the comity and is due to the rights of the States of the same Union. But to restore the Union and preserve confidence, the Federal Constitution should be amended in those particulars wherein experience has exhibited defects and discovered approaches dangers to the institutions of some of the States.

VIRGINIA’S PROPOSED 13^th AMENDMENT

After the resolutions were considered, a 13^th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was proposed and each of its sections discussed and voted on. In this listing I review the final sections adopted for proposed Sections 1 through 4, the additional section adopted to be intercalculated between the proposed Section 3 & 4, and Section 5 as amended in debate but not adopted. For the remaining sections 6 through 8, I include them as proposed by the Committee on Federal Relations. They weren’t adopted because with the outbreak of the Civil War, a 13^th amendment became irrelevant.

Section 1: In all the present territory of the United States, north of the parallel of thirty-six degrees and thirty minutes of north latitude, involuntary servitude, except in punishment of crime, is prohibited. In all the present territory south of that line, involuntary servitude, as it existed on the first day of March, 1861, shall remain, and shall not be changed; nor shall any law be passed by Congress or the Territorial Legislature to hinder or prevent the taking of persons held to service or labor, from any of the States of this Union to said Territory; nor to impair the rights arising from said relation; nor shall said rights be in any manner affected by any pre-existing law of Mexico; but the same shall be subject to judicial cognizance in the Federal courts, according to the remedies and practice of the common law. When any Territory north or south of said line, within such boundary as Congress may prescribe, shall contain a population equal to that required for a member of Congress, it shall, if its form of government be republican, be admitted into the Union on an equal footing with the original States, with or without involuntary servitude, as such Constitution of the State may provide. In all territory which may hereafter be acquired by the United States, involuntary servitude is prohibited, except for crime, north of the latitude of thirty-six degrees and thirty minutes; but shall not be prohibited by Congress, or any Territorial Legislature, south of said line.

Section 2: No territory shall be acquired by the United States, except by discovery and for navel and commercial stations, depots and transit routes, without the concurrence of a majority of all the Senators from States which allow involuntary servitude, and a majority of all the Senators from States which prohibit the relation; nor shall territory be acquired by treaty, unless the votes of a majority of the Senators from each class of States hereinbefore mentioned be cast as part of the two-thirds majority necessary to the ratification of such treaty.

The bringing into the District of Columbia persons held to labor or service for sale, or placing them in depots to be afterwards transferred to other places for slave as merchandise is prohibited.

But this section shall not be so construed as to prohibit the introduction of persons so held to service or labor into the United States, from the Confederate States, or any territory they may hereafter acquire.

The amend text would then be as follows:

Section 5: The importation of slaves, coolies or persons held to service or labor, into the United States, and the territories, from places beyond the limits thereof, is hereby forever prohibited. But this section shall not be so construed as to prohibit the introduction of persons so held to service or labor into the United States, from the Confederate States, or any territory they may hereafter acquire.

Section 6: Congress shall provide by law that the United States shall pay to the owner the full value of his fugitive from labor, in all cases where the marshal, or other officer, whose duty it was to arrest such fugitive, was prevented from so doing by violence or intimidation from mobs, or riotous assemblages, or by violence, or when, after arrest, such fugitive was rescued by like intimidation or violence, and the owner thereby deprived of the same.

Section 7: The elective franchise and the right to hold office, whether Federal or Territorial, shall not be exercised by persons who are of the African race.

Section 8: No one of these amendments nor the third paragraph of the second section of the first article of the Constitution, nor the third paragraph of the second section of the fourth article thereof, shall be amended or abolished without the consent of all the States.

PRESIDENT TYLER

This is an extract from President Tyler’s speech to the convention as previously explained. Critical of a proposal to amend the constitution to have concurrent majorities of slave and non-slave states be necessary to acquire additional territory. This is the “check” Tyler refers to.

But my friend supposed that our Northern friends would come down in hordes and take possession of Central America, unless we had this check upon them. Dear me! Sir, the law of climate as applicable to races, forbids this. A man of the Caucasian race pledged to go and work under a burning sun? Why, these dreamers of the North seemingly know nothing of the influence of climate. They talk of your cotton fields, of your burning sun, it is true. They estimate well the wealth that comes up from these sources. They talk of it, and they talk of free labor. Now I beg to know, while the burning sun is upon the West-India Island, the lands, the richest in the world, and although a so called free soil (under emancipation acts) exists there, and although labor commands the highest prices and a greater demand for it exists than anywhere else, why is it that the vast tide of emigration which rolls in from Europe makes no halt there, but passes on until it reaches a high Northern latitude, where the Caucasian is found enacting the part of herdsman or engaged in the cultivation of the cereals? Where he flourishes, the African perishes. Child of the sun, the last luxuriates under tropical heat; creature of a Northern latitude, the Caucasian man perishes where the African flourishes; and so he of Africa’s sultry land drags out a brief and wretched existence where the white man becomes vigorous and strong. And attains the full perfection of mental and physical development. Such is the law of climate, and that law negatives the supposition indulged in by the gentleman from Kanawha.

You rarely ever find the Caucasian day laborer in South America, and if an exception presents itself, he is a stranger in a strange land. And to guard against this imaginary acquisition of territory, on the part of the North, you require concurrent majorities which effectually precludes all hope of acquisition on your part. You must have a majority of nineteen States now, soon to be thirty-six; and a majority of your own Senators which would readily obtain, and from those majorities make up the two-thirds before you can get Cuba, or the West India Islands, or any one foot of additional territory.

… Well, sir, I am a disciple of his, to some extent, on the subject of the African race. He did not limit his view to the then confines of the United States. He looked from Maryland, Virginia and the other border States in the direction of the West India Islands, or Central America, with the idea that the slave populations might ultimately find their outlet in that direction. And yet, in my firm belief, you cannot acquire a foot of land under the provision of the Peace Conference, for it effectually closes the door to further expansion on the part of the South. The only way in which you have heretofore acquired territory has been by a great party in the free States coming to the aid of the South. You could have acquired it in no other way. Louisiana and Florida were obtained in that way. New England opposed them, as she opposes now everything that pertains to the interest of the South, or tends to give it political strength. In like manner, she opposed the acquisition of Texas; and yet it was through the medium of a controlling majority, made up of Northern and Southern  votes we obtained the acquisition of that country.

An attack on a Synagogue next? Literature the Sons of Confederate Veterans sells.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans has been praising and selling "The South Under Siege" by Frank Conner for some time.

The following is an ad in the May/June 2015 issue of Confederate Veteran.

The text praises the book. The ad says:

This important new book by SCV member Frank Conner examines the true relations between the North and South from 1830 to June 2000. It identifies the real history of each region, and the lies and distortion by which the Northern liberals have created totally false stereotypes of both the Northern liberal and the traditional white Southerner. It tells what the North has done to the South, and why the North claims to have done it, why the North really did it, and what the consequences have been. An excellent defense against the official history currently taught in the government schools. 

What does Frank Conner think is the real history?

Conner’s book argues that the 20th century Civil Rights movement was a Jewish conspiracy carried out against the South and that the idea of racial equality was itself a part of a Jewish conspiracy.

On page 392 in his book Connor states:

Until after the turn of the 20th century, anthropologists had routinely recorded genetic as well as cultural differences between races and ethnic groups – that being the whole point of anthropology. The highlighted differences among the races hand included those of intelligence. But as Kevin MacDonald points out in The Culture of Critique, a German-Jewish-immigrant named Franz Boas changed all that. At Columbia, Boas arbitrarily claimed that biological differences between races were miniscule – that environment alone shaped the behavior of the different races and ethnic groups (a la Rousseau). A number of other Jewish anthropologists swiftly adopted Boas’ position; and soon the Jews dominated the field of cultural anthropology. As MacDonald points out, by 1915 the Jews had gained control of the American Anthropological Association; and by 1926 they were chairing the anthropology departments at all of the major universities.

One page 396 Conner explains:

— Jews will excel in society and the economy if allowed to compete fully. The only way the Gentiles can maintain superiority is by discriminating against the Jews; and so, discrimination against Jews is a common tactic in most countries — including the U.S.

On page 397 Conner explains:

— Second, under the concept of pluralism, the Jews can select whichever “victim” group is demonstrably being discriminated against the most (i.e. the Blacks) and run a full-blown civil-rights campaign to guilt-trip the white Gentiles into ending discrimination against that group. This approach offers two powerful advantages: first, if there is a blacklash of violence against the civil-rights campaign, it will erupt all over the blacks, not the Jews. Second (as is hinted delicately but consistently by a number of Jewish authors), the Jews as a group are quite a bit smarter than the blacks – or any of the other candidate “victim” groups; accordingly, the Jews themselves will be poised to take full advantage of each new anti-discrimination law or ruling or social taboo ostensibly created to benefit the blacks, while the blacks are still fumbling around; and the Gentiles won’t even notice what’s happening.

On page 398 in the book Conner titles a paragraph as follows:

Northern Jews Wage All-Out Ideological Warfare Against the White South. [Underline in the original.]

The chapter is just filled with material like that quoted with the following on page 406, last page of the chapter:

Look well at the Northern Jewish intellectuals/activists, O South, for they – who by rights should have been your closest friends – are by their own choice your dedicated and deadliest enemy.

With this type of language I can well imagine a person deciding to take a gun and go to a synagogue.

The SCV has not just been selling this book in their latest issue of Confederate Veteran.  They have been selling this book for some time now.


This is why I sent the following letter to the Museum of the Confederacy asking them to not hold a reception for the Sons of Confederate Veterans and why if they do we are going to protest.

White Houses of the Confederacy, hotels that host Sons of Confederate Veteran Events

I have been compiling which hotels host the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) events and the event of the Stephen D. Lee Institute which is run by the SCV.

One interesting thing has become apparent, the hotels of the Hilton Corporation, are by far the hotels most frequently used by the SCV versus other hotels of other corporations.

Most interesting is that there seems to be a trend for a Hilton hotel to be chosen more in the last few years than the brands of other hotel corporations.

I would think it must be degrading for the service personnel of the hotel to have to serve these people. Also,

It should be understood that these corporations often offer inducements to be chosen by the SCV to be their hotel. It isn't a matter that they are open to all comers, but that they often offer discounts.

You might want to check the SCV page when you reserve a hotel to make sure you don't end up surrounded by Confederate flags and neo-Confederates. In particular a Hilton hotel, which includes Embassy Suites and Hampton Inns.

Neo-Confederates the original neoreactionaries, the original Dark Enlightenment practicioners

There is a new movement called neoreactionaries and they also call their views the Dark Enlightenment (which is a self-contradictory term, Dark Enlightenment.)

It seems that one of my critics, J. Arthur Bloom, opinion editor of the Daily Caller, a right wing website, is a neoreactionary or close to it. Though with this article it seems that he is writing about neoreactionaries as if he wasn't part of their movement. It is hard to tell:

I don't know how much of a threat this movement really is. If you go to http://mitrailleuse.net/about/ and read the descriptions you see a list of people who really think they are so very clever.

Now that the neoreactionaries are in the news the neo-Confederate movement will likely be interested, though some of the views of the neoreactionaries will upset the neo-Confederates. I think www.lewrockwell.com will be most receptive to them.

One reason the neoreactionaries are in the news and the article by which I discovered their existence is the following Slate article in which the author David Auerbach is upset that neoreationary Curtis Yarvin was dis-invited from a technical conference.

David Auerbach doesn't see the relevance of Yarvin's views to the technology conference. However, there are several.

One is that it is the purpose of most STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) organizations to work to get URM's (Under Represented Minorities) involved in STEM fields. Giving Yarvin a platform to enhance his credibility would undermine a goal broadly shared by the STEM professions. Yarvin has a right to freedom of speech, but not a right to be invited by an organization.

A great many people in the STEM fields are in these fields by a series of measures of a democratic American society over the centuries to enable people to get a scientific education starting with free public education, land grant colleges, G.I. Bill for veterans to get a college education, the system of Community Colleges, etc.  The ability to pursue interests and a career in STEM fields is not limited by caste or privilege. It should not be surprising that a speaker who advocates a political system where the majority or at least a large minority of the people in STEMs fields would be rejected or excluded is not going to be welcome by people in the STEM fields.

Finally, science was a central part of the Enlightenment so if you are an advocate of the "Dark Enlightenment,"if you are anti-Enlightenment, don't be surprised that the STEM societies don't want you.

Letter to Edward Ayers, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Civil War Museum of which the Museum of the Confederacy is a part.

The Museum of the Confederacy (MOC) is hosting the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) on July 15, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. This event is part of the SCV 2015 National Reunion in Richmond, VA.

A protest is planned from 5pm to 9 pm as one of the counter activities against the SCV 2015 Reunion in Richmond, Virginia. More information will be forthcoming.

A certified letter was sent to Edward Ayers, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Civil War Museum of which the MOC is a part. Copies were sent to all the members of the board of directors by proof of mailing.

It should be noted that Ms. Ruth C. Streeter of "CBS 60 Minutes" is a board member.

Dear Dr. Ayers:

I read with great regret that the Museum of the Confederacy (MOC) is holding a reception for the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  The scheduled event is announce online at http://www.jebstuartcamp.org/jebstuartcamp.org/2015reunion/docs/2015_Schedule.pdf and http://www.jebstuartcamp.org/jebstuartcamp.org/2015reunion/docs/Speakers%20and%20Performances.pdf.  Note that the SCV “Heritage Luncheon” involves presentations by the neo-Confederate Kennedy brothers.  I enclose copies of each.

As you probably already know, but for the benefit of those to whom this letter is copied, I am an investigative researcher into the neo-Confederate movement published by university presses, peer-reviewed academic journals, Black Commentator, and other venues.  My curriculum vitae is online at www.templeofdemocracy.com.

That the MOC would hold a reception for the SCV is not surprising. People point out the exhibit and book “Before Freedom Came” to defend the MOC. What people don’t know is that the MOC had an event at the MOC where Ludwell Johnson gave a racist screed as an acceptance speech upon being made a MOC fellow about the same time as the exhibition of “Before Freedom Came.”  My four part series on the MOC is online at Black Commentator. However, unlike in the past where the activities of enabling the neo-Confederates, enabling the Lost Cause, and being a shrine for the Confederacy was an activity of the Museum of the Confederacy, this activity now is an activity of the American Civil War Museum in Richmond, Virginia and this activity defines what type of institution the American Civil War Museum is.

For the American Civil War Museum, which purports to be an educational institution, to be enabling the SCV whose activities are an attack on the very integrity of history is a travesty. For the American Civil War Museum, which might purport to being an institution for a modern multi-racial America, enabling the SCV which promotes racist and pro-slavery literature and defends the white supremacist and pro-slavery Confederacy is a travesty.

Giving the SCV space to have a reception would be the mode of operation of an institution whose guiding principle is maximum merchandising of the Civil War to the maximum audience heedless of consequences.

I should like to give an example of the type of history that the SCV promotes.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) in their magazine, merchandise catalog, and online sells and promotes the book, “The South Under Siege, 1830-2000,” by Frank Conner, Collards Press, 2002.

The SCV is selling the book to its members in the Jan./Feb. 2015 and the May/June 2015 issue of Confederate Veteran, the official publication of the SCV.

In both the Jan./Feb. 2015 & May/June 2015 issue the book is sold along with other things as “Confederate Gifts from GHQ” (GHQ, General HeadQuarters).  It is sold in the merchandise catalog insert in the Sept./Oct. 2013 issue of the Confederate Veteran.

The SCV recommends this book as follows:

This important new book by SCV member Frank Conner examines the true relations between the North and South from 1830 to June 2000. It identifies the real history of each region, and the lies and distortion by which the Northern liberals have created totally false stereotypes of both the Northern liberal and the traditional white Southerner. It tells what the North has done to the South, and why the North claims to have done it, why the North really did it, and what the consequences have been. An excellent defense against the official history currently taught in the government schools. [italics in the original, Jan./Feb. 2015, Confederate Veteran, Vol. 73 No.1, page 70, and the same text in May/June 2015 Confederate Veteran, Vol. 73 No. 3 page 70]

This book has been sold by the SCV starting as early with an advertisement in the Sept./Oct. 2004 Confederate Veteran, as a “Confederate Gift from IHQ,” with the same book notice.

The book is sold by the SCV Online as of 5/25/2013 with the same book notice. As well it is sold in the Sons of Confederate Veterans Merchandise Catalog for 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2011-2012. Southern Mercury is a magazine that was published by the Foundation for the Preservation of American Culture, listed as “the educational foundation of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.” [Vol. 5 No. 3, June 2007, Southern Mercury, full page advertisement back outside cover.]

Conner’s book is positively reviewed by Anne Rives Zappa in the Southern Mercury who opens the review stating, “’The South Under Siege’ is a masterful volume of work painstakingly researched by Frank Conner.” [Zappa, Ann Rives, “The South Under Siege 1830-2000,” pages 30-31, Southern Mercury, Vol. 1 No. 2, September/October 2003.]

Conner’s book argues that the 20th century Civil Rights movement was a Jewish conspiracy carried out against the South and that the idea of racial equality was itself a part of a Jewish conspiracy.

On page 392 in his book Connor states:

Until after the turn of the 20th century, anthropologists had routinely recorded genetic as well as cultural differences between races and ethnic groups – that being the whole point of anthropology. The highlighted differences among the races hand included those of intelligence. But as Kevin MacDonald points out in The Culture of Critique, a German-Jewish-immigrant named Franz Boas changed all that. At Columbia, Boas arbitrarily claimed that biological differences between races were miniscule – that environment alone shaped the behavior of the different races and ethnic groups (a la Rousseau). A number of other Jewish anthropologists swiftly adopted Boas’ position; and soon the Jews dominated the field of cultural anthropology. As MacDonald points out, by 1915 the Jews had gained control of the American Anthropological Association; and by 1926 they were chairing the anthropology departments at all of the major universities.

One page 396 Conner explains:

— Jews will excel in society and the economy if allowed to compete fully. The only way the Gentiles can maintain superiority is by discriminating against the Jews; and so, discrimination against Jews is a common tactic in most countries — including the U.S.

On page 397 Conner explains:

— Second, under the concept of pluralism, the Jews can select whichever “victim” group is demonstrably being discriminated against the most (i.e. the Blacks) and run a full-blown civil-rights campaign to guilt-trip the white Gentiles into ending discrimination against that group. This approach offers two powerful advantages: first, if there is a blacklash of violence against the civil-rights campaign, it will erupt all over the blacks, not the Jews. Second (as is hinted delicately but consistently by a number of Jewish authors), the Jews as a group are quite a bit smarter than the blacks – or any of the other candidate “victim” groups; accordingly, the Jews themselves will be poised to take full advantage of each new anti-discrimination law or ruling or social taboo ostensibly created to benefit the blacks, while the blacks are still fumbling around; and the Gentiles won’t even notice what’s happening.

On page 398 in the book Conner titles a paragraph as follows:

Northern Jews Wage All-Out Ideological Warfare Against the White South. [Underline in the original.]

The chapter is just filled with material like that quoted with the following on page 406, last page of the chapter:

Look well at the Northern Jewish intellectuals/activists, O South, for they – who by rights should have been your closest friends – are by their own choice your dedicated and deadliest enemy.

I enclose documentation. I find it hard to believe that the Museum of the Confederacy is unaware of this book and further Frank Conner may very well be at the reception at the MOC since he is a prominent neo-Confederate and SCV member.  

I ask the American Civil War Museum to not host the Sons of Confederate Veterans, stop pandering to neo-Confederates or enable them in any way.
