I have been asked how the Sons of Confederate Veterans as an organization can be brought down. Also, some clarification as to what I mean by that.
CLARIFICATION:
1. I don't mean violence or vandalism or lawlessness. Such type of actions are counter productive and unnecessary. They are also wrong. Issues and view points should be a matter of public debate and discussion. I don't mean harrassment like anonymous phone calls or flashing lights in people's eyes and stuff like that.
2. I do mean educating the public as to what they stand for such that they will have no credibility and no assistance from other groups, and individuals will be embarrased to be known as members.
PLAN:
The Sons of Confederate Veterans before the public represents itself as a sentimental organization with a nostalgic fondness for the past
1. I am going to research and make it publically available. It will focus on what the SCV states in its publications and what merchandise it sells and what its actions are.
2. I will be asking individuals to help me get the work out. On Twitter, Facebook, in your blog, on your website, or whatever social media you use, to get my research out to the public.
3. There will be notifications of new materials at AntiNeoConfederate Action on Facebook. I always post links at my Facebook page. I will be tweeting about these materials on Twitter. There will be materials at my website. My Youtube channel AntiNeoConfederate will have videos.

POSTSCRIPT:
As the real face of the SCV emerges, I think their influence will decline. It will also educate the public what honoring the Confederacy is really about.
Again, I don't support violence or something like violence.
The SCV along with the UDC constitute the two major influential groups working to keep Confederate monuments and defend the Confederacy. We can shred their credibility by letting the public know what they really believe by quoting their own words.
Already, I am noticing that things are being pulled off line.

Confederate Thin Blue Line Flag, the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Black Lives Matter movement
I was able to obtain the Confederate thin blue line flag.
When the Black Lives Matter movement started up in 2015 the Commander-in-Chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) started to have part of his reports discussing what was to me obviously the Black Lives Matter movement and in opposition to it.
I am going to use this flag as a starting point to discuss the Sons of Confederate Veterans and their writings which I think applies to the Black Lives Matter movement.
I think that this will make it very clear what the SCV and Confederate Heritage is about.

Paper with pictures about the Triumphalist White Supremacy of Fair Park Completed. / On to bringing down the SCV
PAPER ON FAIR PARK WITH ABOUT 100 PICTURES
There are formally listed 84 Figures, but some of those figures are sets of pictures. There is a total 102 pages.
http://templeofdemocracy.com/history-paper-the-triumphalist-white-supremacy-of-fair-park.html
It is a big pdf so it might take some time. It is over 50 megabytes.
I am now going to ask scholars and cultural leaders to co-sign our letter. We have a total of 40 signatures so far.
http://templeofdemocracy.com/fair-park-letter.html
The following blog will be tracking the Dallas white landscape closely, as opposed to this more general blog which deals with neo-Confederacy.
https://dallaslandscape.blogspot.com/
On to bringing down the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Getting a Powerpoint Made, a video made, and then this 102 page paper, has taken time. I have had to concentrate on it intensly since it is a current issue with events underway. However, with this done, it is now going to be more time to pursue other topics, which specifically be about leting the general public know about the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
I have set up my video studio and gone through and prepared materials and hope to do the first video soon.
I expect to bring down the Sons of Confederate Veterans by informing the public what their agenda is. I want to make it very clear I don't support violent actions.

Time to bring down the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
The other major neo-Confederate groups have gone under or just live on as remnants.
The League of the South is just perhaps a dozen or maybe two dozen.
The Rockford Institute is acquired by the Charlemagne Institute.
The Council of Conservative Citizens is just a remnant.
Southern Partisan has long since ceased publishing.
The Abbeville Institute is still operating. Though I don't know as if too many members have positions in any university.
What remains is the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It is time to bring both organizations down by the means of exposing them.
I am going to have time to do this, since the immediate agenda, of taking down the Confederate statues in Dallas, seems to be over. The court case will wind up, the statues will come down. I will have to be photo documenting everyting and gathering all the news articles, and other things of the historical record, and then I am done.
I was in a situation of having to do research on the Confederate War Memorial to be prepared to support bringing it down if the city council didn't vote to do so, and also to gather all the records of what was happening, news articles, video, print, webpages, etc. and archiving it, as well as doing photo documentation. Events would move fast and then slow and I was constantly racing to catch up.
The contextualization committee for Fair Park seems to have come to a halt. I am also finishing up the research on Fair Park and writing it up so that isn't going to be a big burden.
I have also finished reseaching the entire racialized landscape. Work will be more oriented to writing it up, then Powerpoints for presentations, then video.
So in terms of working on the Dallas racialized landscape, it is now going to be done at my pace. The city of Dallas has largely stopped doing anything. I can set my time devoted to it to a set amount each week and balance it with my work on the neo-Confederate movement in general.
Now the focus will be on the neo-Confederate movement.
I have set up my video logging work area. I purchased tripods, got carrying cases for their storage. I found my handycam and re-read how it works, got some accessories, a table to do the video cast, etc. I am going to do my first video starting next Monday or earlier.
I think I am going to outline the podcast and readit from a PowerPoint, but I am not going to write a script.
I have to make up a short introduction video for AntiNeoConfederate with my resume. There is a lot of stuff to do to set up an operation. Also, I am going to make podcasts. I want to add working URLs into the video, and I probably want to drop in some text boxes. So there is some software things to learn also.
I think the SCV provides an abundance of topics to talk about.
I will provide links to new material as it gets completed on this blog. Please share on Facebook and Twitter.

Sons of Confederate Veterans webpage has gotten "software issues"
This is the link to the Sons of Confederate Veteraans (SCV) webpage.
https://www.scv.org/
This webpage used to re-direct you to this page.
http://www.scv.org/new/
It does seem to be a broken web page.
I am not sure what has happened. It could be it is just that "software issues," but I am not sure exactly what makes a working webpage not work. Did one of the SCV staffers screw it up? Was it hacked? Or was the webpage an embarrassmet and they have pulled content hastilly?
I am not sure what makes a webpage spontaneously fail.
I suspect, speculate, that the webpage was disabled because of some reason the SCV doesn't want to make public.

The Sons of Confederate Veteran idea of the Civil War being a theological war
From the conclusion of my paper, "The Sons of Confederate Veteran's Concept of the Civil War As a Theological War."
The link to the article is:
http://templeofdemocracy.com/sons-of-confederate-veterans.html
I will be mailing this article to the churches in Mobile, Alabama and will be offering to speak on this topic and another which I will be choosing.
Make sure you are sitting down before you start reading it.
VERSION HAS BEEN UPDATE. AT SAME LINK SHOWN ABOVE.
The SCV
before the media portrays itself as persons with a nostalgic sentimental
interest in history and remembering ancestors and speak of “heritage” and
protecting history. The reality is that it is an extreme radical right
religious organization, self-identified with a military tradition, so right-wing
it sees pro-slavery theologians as heroes and rages in anger at the modern
world.

Commander-in-nonsense Paul C. Gramling, Jr. They aren't apathetic, they just don't want to be publically known as Confederates
In the March/April Confederate Veteran, Paul C. Gramling Jr. Commander-in-Chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), in the regular column for th C-in-C, starts out decrying apathy.
He points out that in a town the SCV had to cancel participation in a parade due to lack of interest. Gramling is very disappointed since it would be a great opportunity to promote the SCV and its goals. He is correct, it would be a great opportunity to move forward to achieve the group's goals. He also points out that many camps of the SCV, including his own, are rejected from local parades or are fighting to get into them or being kicked out of them.
Gramling sees the failure to participate as a lack of "committment."
I suggest that the the failure to participate as due to members not wanting the whole town to know that they are members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. It might be fine to get with a group where you can ramble on about your ancestors, Robert E. Lee, and feel special about yourself. Talk about battles where from their perspective 19th centurry men were manly men and real men and where the present with its gays, women's lib, outspoken African Americans, and the modern world with all its vexations hasn't happened yet. However, the membership didn't sign up to be infront of the whole town with their Confederate interests and they certainly haven't signed up for the neo-Confederate movement besides a general crankiness regarding the modern world.
As the radical face of the SCV becomes more generally known, more and more some SCV members will quietly drop out, others will be at functions that aren't in the public eye.
Having the Kennedy twins run the Heritage Defense for the SCV will greatly accelerate the exit of members who are nostalgicists from their ranks, leaving a more radical residue that will be prone to crazier things.

What happened to the 2020 Sons of Confederate Veterans National Reunion website? UPDATE:
UPDATE: It is back up.
By the way, the slogan "We Don't Reconstruct ... We Reload," sort of makes me think of Dylann Roof.
THIS WAS POSTED EARLIER.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) were gearing up for a national reunion in 2020 in St. Augustine, Florida. I let the activists there know about it. They started asking a lot of questions of city government about it.
Suddenly the website for the SCV National Reunion disappears.
Click on this link and you get a sort of empty BlueHost page. http://scv2020reunion.com/
But it did exist.
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:9xPjqyGH1QIJ:scv2020reunion.com/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
However, it is interesting that this website had instructions so archive.org didn't archive it. SCV is running scared.
And the cache is archived.
https://web.archive.org/web/20190227162915/http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:9xPjqyGH1QIJ:scv2020reunion.com/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
There are two major development here and a minor development here.
1. The major development is that it seems the SVC fled. They were looking at activists making their reunion in St. Augustine an issue for over a year. Of course it could be that it is some secret website.
2. The archiving was blocked. That means that the efforts of the SCV are being self-erased from the historical record. They are diminishing themselves. When you go secret, you lose visibility. Preventing archiving and going with a secret website all means that you are diminishing your public presence and you are limiting your effectiveness.
As you make your activities more and more secret it makes what you are doing seem like a dirty secret.
Of course it could be that a website pops up later.
3. Another major development could be that the SCV for future reunions will have to avoid major urban centers and progressive regions and seek out places that are rural and in sympathy with their beliefs. It will be an ever shrinking geography.
At some point having an SCV reunion in your town will be a sign of backwardness and bring ridicule on the city and even in the most rural location some local resentment of the SCV's presence will exist.

Mobile(ize) Resistance Against Neo-Confederacy has both a Facebook page and a Google blog
The effort to have a counter event in Mobile, Alabama at the 2019 reunion of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has been started.
This is the blog for the counter activity. Sign up for the email updates. We have it as a backup for the Facebook page.
https://mobileanticonfederate.blogspot.com/
This is the first posting with all the information.
https://mobileanticonfederate.blogspot.com/2019/01/
I am going to include a copy of this posting at the end of this posting to share all the information.
This is the Facebook group for the Mobile(ize) against Neo-Conffederacy event.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/295303354512827/
What you can do. Let as many people know about this event and have them like the Facebook Page and IMPORTANTLY sign up for the emails from this blog. You can see on the right side of this page where you can sign up.
More details will be forthcoming.
Additionally this web page will have postings of updates of this effort and other information.
The posting of Jan. 16, 2019 at the blog Mobile(ize) Resistance Against Neo-Confederacy.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) are having their 2019 Reunion in Mobile, Alabama, July 10-13, 2019.
They have a web page for the reunion here:
https://www.scvsemmes.org/2019-scv-reunion.html
Very likely local government entities provided incentives to bring the Sons of Confederate Veterans to Mobile, Alabama. Local camps of the SCV do bidding to host the SCV national reunion. The hotel may have also given incentives to get the SCV to have the convention at their hotel.
In this case it is the Renaissance Riverview Hotel and the convention itself will be at the Mobile Convention Center located on Water Street at the Mobile River.
Our plan is to have peaceful protests, counter-events of an educational nature which will inform the public and people in Mobile, Alabama what the Sons of Confederate Veterans is really about.
This blog will be updated with information about our efforts and we will provide some information about Alabama and Mobile, Alabama neo-Confederacy.
Incidentally you can read about the SCV at Black Commentator.
http://www.blackcommentator.com/526/526_confederacy_sebesta_guest_share.html
This was written in 2013. There is a lot more stuff since then and updated information will be provided.
Additionally, we will be writing the local churches asking them not to host the SCV. Last time the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception let the cathedral for a Confederate event in 2007.
You can see photos of Confederate flags flying in the cathedral at these links.

I am the co-editor of two university press books, author of peer-reviewed academic articles, last one at a journal published at Cambridge Univ. I have had several articles published at Black Commentator.
I was awarded the Spirit of Freedom medal by the African American Civil War Museum in Washington, D.C.
For useful information to combate neo-Confederate mythology I suggest my curriculum vitae for information and the following web page. It is the material that couldn't fit into the book, "The Confederate and Neo-Confederate Reader," which documents how it is about white supremacy.

Sons of Confederate Veterans going down the drain of madness. Make Dixie Great Again website.
Some time ago in a blog posting on former Sons of Confederate Veterans Commander-in-Chief Ron Wilson going to jail for running a ponzi scheme I made the following observation:
https://newtknight.blogspot.com/2014/12/convicted-former-sons-of-confederate.html#.XDoB-Vw2qiM
I don't think that the idea that the SCV is going down the well of madness is that speculative anymore. The Sons of Confederate Veterans has appointed as the head of its Heritage defense Walter Donald Kennedy.
They have also started this website titled "Make Dixie Great Again."
https://www.makedixiegreatagain.com/
Nothing like mimicking Donald Trump to alienate young people. If I had to dream up a website name to help bring down the Confederacy I couldn't do better than this.
Before I discuss this further, I want to say that I couldn't be more delighted that Walter Donald Kennedy was selected to head up this effort. I couldn't ask for anything better to help bring down the Confederacy.
So who is Walter Donald Kennedy? These are the bios of the neo-Confederate Kennedy twins.
http://kennedytwins.com/bio.htm
These are their books. http://kennedytwins.com/books.htm
There is this book defending slavery and attacking the Southern Baptist Conference for apologizing for slavery.
This book sees some type of communist conspiracy during the Civil War. It is for sale by the SCV. https://scv-online-store.myshopify.com/products/books-myths-of-american-slavery-213
It has been republished with a new cover. They offered it for sale on their website.
A lot of books seem to have disappeared from their website after I started reporting on the contents. It might be they are getting out of the book business and are selling out their inventory.
https://web.archive.org/web/20170402004358/https://scv-online-store.myshopify.com/products/books-lincolns-marxists-997
Walter Donald Kennedy has in the Confederate Veteran, official publication of the SCV, Nov./Dec. 2012, an article where Lincoln and Hitler are somehow connected. The title is "Lincoln's Band of Tyrants."
The Kennedy twins have the perfect biographical background to bring down the Confederacy. Michael Hill, president of the League of the South, did a biographical article on them for Chronicles Magazine. They "Rolled with Ross." This doesn't mean much to modern readers, but this means they were part of a campaign in which the objective was to defect civil rights.
It might be asked by the Sons of Confederate Veterans would select such a person to be their front person in defending the Confederacy and monument to them. You would think they would select someone without such a background who would mumble vague statements relying heavily on the words "heritage" "preservation" "political correctness" etc.
They actually believe that the public will accept their undrerstanding of history if they just have the opportunity to bring their message to the public. They believe that the public will believe and support their understanding of history, but don't because of the media and others who have misled them. In short they are inside their delusions.
Along with some other things I have observed, which I am not going to go into here, I wonder if the SCV hasn't reached a certain stage in its history.
This would be a stage in which normal people tend to avoid the SCV and the SCV instead more and more attracts persons who are extremists or mentally a little off or both. As the SCV becomes more explicit in its agenda SCV members who are Confederate enthusiasts but not wanting to secede or support the neo-Confederate agenda feel uncomfortable belonging, but this more explicit agenda tends to at the same time attract more extremist elements. This further shifts the SCV to a more extremist agenda and the process repeats. Perhaps this process is already underway in the SCV.
Also, the SCV has a fair quantity of assets in terms of money and real estate. Some scammer might even now be planning to be Commander-in-Chief to get at the assets of the SCV.
Again this is a speculative thought. However, if you organized a flat earth society what type of members do you think you would attract?

Maybe this is where the Sons of Confederate Veterans is going to get the money to finish their musuem
From what I can tell the Sons of Confederate Veterans have progressed slowly on their museum.
This is a website for the museum. http://www.theconfederatemuseum.com/
Originally there was talk about it being open this summer. This Facebook posting shows where it is now. (Almost a day ago. Sept. 10, 2018)
https://www.facebook.com/SCVOfficialPage//2569315683082401
They are making some progress, but it looks like to me they are just beginning.
I am guessing that they don't have the money. I think though they found a way to get the money.
There is a settlement with the Sons of Confederate Veterans and they are getting a little over $30 million dollars in the settlement with the city of Memphis.
https://www.commercialappeal.com/story/news/local/the-901/2018/09/10/9-01-sons-confederate-veterans-offers-settle-memphis-suit/1199804002/
That should cover the costs of the museum unless a lot of money is spent on investigating heritage violations some place with really expensive meals for meetings. Not that I know that they would do that.
What about the $acred memory of Forre$t, Their great $outhern hero. Well $30 million is a lot of money and if you are short of money it can be sort of handy.

Nathan Bedford Forrest Statue removed in Memphis, Sons of Confederate Veterans efforts for naught.
The Nathan Bedford Forrest statue and the Jefferson Davis statue were both removed and the land on which they stood sold.
There are TWO major issues here. One is the impact of the statue removal. The other is the removal of the statue in defiance of the Tennessee Historical Commission.
Some news coverage.

http://www.wbir.com/article/news/local/memphis-removing-confederate-statues-from-downtown-parks/51-501227211
It has gotten attention from some international media.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/dec/21/memphis-tennessee-citizens-cheer-overnight-removal-of-two-confederate-statues
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42441875
PART ONE:
This is very important for multiple reasons.
First, the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) invested a lot of effort to keep this statue in place and the statue is being removed anyways. Second, it should tell the Sons of Confederate Veterans that they really don't have much influence in keeping a statue in place nor any real support in an urban public.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans just have the courts where they can make up claims and get them dismissed promptly.
This is really going to demoralize the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Also, it is going to affect the composition of their membership since with Confederate monuments coming down, membership in the SCV is not going to be normalized and the membership remaining will be more extreme as the members who really aren't that much into neo-Confederate ideology leave.
Third the vote for removal was unanimous and included both statues. It sets a precedence that the goal is to get a complete de-Confederation of the city and that it is something everyone should support. It rejects foot dragging like in Dallas and half-way measures like in Dallas.
Fourth, the Nathan Bedford Forrest statue in Memphis was the most important monument to Forrest. It was a large metal monument, probably bronze, and it was in a major city.
Fifth, it makes all the other efforts to memorialize Forrest seem anomalous. In various locations where there are items to memorialize Forrest, the local municipalities accommodation or support of memorializing Forrest will be less acceptable and recognized as the racist agenda that it is.
Sixth, it gets the ball rolling in Confederate monument removal moving again. It puts more pressure on Dallas and also Richmond where I think the establishments thought the issue was going to die down and they could just stall some more or hope it goes away. The Richmond establishment's retention of Confederate monuments will really show Richmond's true nature.
As each statue comes down elsewhere it will become more and more apparent that Richmond's establishment mentally live in a metaphysical Confederacy in which Richmond is the capital.
PART TWO:
It seems that this statue removal was done by a legal means to avoid a Tennessee law put in place to keep Confederate monuments in place.
Earlier the Tennessee Historical Commission issued a denial of the request to remove the statues. It is becoming fairly common story that the local and state historical societies and commissions are defenders of the Confederacy. Here we have Preservation Dallas with its maneuvers to keep the Confederate memorial in Pioneer Park. Their name really should be Preservation White Dallas.
What judge will be willing to make the ruling to put it back up? What will happen if city council members are jailed? What would be the public's response to an attempt to put a statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest back up? It could put the nation into turmoil. I can only imagine the Republicans in Tennessee are thinking carefully about what they do and the 2018 elections, especially after Roy Moore has gone down to defeat.
I am sure that there are Alabama mayors and city council members paying close attention to Memphis and what happens next.
If this method of removing the Confederate statues works, I think there will be renewed calls in other Tennessee cities to remove monuments. Elected officials who point to Tennessee law will have pointed out to them the example of Memphis and be told, "Where there is a will there is a way."
De-Confederation is still unfolding. It may seem stopped, but things are happening here and there and there are only pauses.

The ideology of violence of the neo-Confederate movement, op-ed published in the "Dallas Morning News"
https://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/commentary/2017/08/17/confederate-heritage-root-recent-tragedies-troubles
I discuss the Red Shirts, Michael Andrew Grissom, Frank Conner, "South Under Siege," "Southern by the Grace of God."
Some excerpts:
The United Daughters of the Confederacy renovated and operates the Oakley Park Museum in Edgefield, S.C., of which a 2001 UDC Magazine article explains, "Today it stands as a shrine to the Red Shirt campaign of 1876."
Radical neo-Confederate writing is also directed at Unitarians, the LGBT community, Muslims, Hispanics and others. The publications of pro-monument groups such as the Sons of Confederate Veterans incite fear and suspicion for a lengthy list of enemies. We should not be surprised that their publications incite violence and, sadly, we should prepare for more to come.

Warning to Synagogues Part 2
See my previous posting.
I also recommend reading the following article. It is by David A. Love, at CNN, "Lynching re-emerges in new rhetoric of hate." This type of violence is already happening.
Most ominously was a book review in the
Jan./Feb. 2016 Confederate Veteran,
Boyd D. Cathey reviews “Cultures in Conflict: The Union Desecration of Southern
Churches and Cemeteries,” by Charles A. Jennings. The publisher given is Truth
in History in Owasso, Oklahoma. This is the same publisher and city given for
the book at the www.biblicalandsouthernstudies.com website.
Cathey’s review states that in the book
Jennings explains that “the Northern and Southern states were growing
dramatically apart, not just politically and economically, but also religiously
and culturally,” and that “by the 1830s and 1840s, the South was becoming more
conservative religiously and culturally, while in many areas of the North, the
older Puritanism had evolved into Unitarianism and liberal evangelicalism.”
Cathey then asks the question, “But how
to explain the rage and sickening zeal of many Northern soldiers and the
ravages they committed when they came South?” Cathey refers to the books
forward written by Charles Baker stating:
In his forward to the
book, Dr. Charles Baker attributes this lapse into what was basically barbarism
to the collapse of orthodox Puritanism and the increasing dominance of liberal
Protestantism.
Cathey quotes Thornwell’s statement
about the true nature of the conflict as previously quoted in this chapter. The
book thus makes the desecration of churches and cemeteries in the South,
“barbarism,” “ravages” done with “sickening zeal” due to the “collapse of
orthodox Puritanism” which Cathey had also referred to as “the older
Puritanism” having “evolved into Unitarianism and liberal evangelicalism.”

(7/2/2016) has a web page article, “Jewish Hatred Against Jesus Christ.” In
another article, “The House of Israel and The House of Judah,” asserts that the
ancient Israelites weren’t the ancestors of modern day Jews. Another article,
“The Seventy Weeks of Daniel,” explains the history of the persecutions of the
Jews as the punishments by Jesus upon the Jews for their rejecting him and the
destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans as another divine punishment.[i]
At the Truth in History website Charles
Jennings is listed as the contact person with the phone number matching the
phone number in the Confederate Veteran
review.[ii]
Also, earlier archived web pages at archive.org have Charles A. Jennings as the
website author in the “About Us” description.[iii]
Dr. Charles E. Baker was the Chaplain
in Chief of the SCV in the early 1990s.[iv]
The Truth in History website has listed
this book on their website in the past and it can be found on archived web
pages at archive.org. However, now you would not find it on the Truth in
History website, but you will find it sold at the Biblical and Southern Studies
website which was founded by Rondel Rumburg, past Chaplain-in-Chief of the SCV,
and the editor of the Chaplains’ Corps
Chronicles of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and is the editor of the 3rd
edition “Chaplain’s Handbook,” for the Chaplains in the SCV.[v]
Boyd D. Cathey was on the Editorial
Advisor Committee of The Journal of
Historical Review of the Institute for Historical Review, according to an
archived page from 2001.[vi]
According to Scott Miller, University Programs Coordinator at the United States
Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., “The central institution of
Holocaust denial in the United States is the Institute for Historical Review
(IHR), located in southern California, and founded (with a deceptively scholarly
name) by Willis Carto.”[vii]
The offer for sale of this book as well as the
book review could possibly introduce SCV members to the Truth of History
publisher and possibly Truth of History’s website’s promotion of what could be
characterized as virulent anti-Semitism without the book review referencing
anything about Jewish people.
In regards to Unitarians, in being made
historical villains whose religion resulted in “desecrations” and “ravages”
done with “sickening zeal,” it is entirely reasonable that someone might decide
to avenge these alleged historical crimes with an act of violence.

"NC lawmaker calls Abraham Lincoln a 'tyrant' Like Hitler" NC Rep. Larry Pittman
Neo-Confederacy is boiling to the surface.
This is the article in the Charlotte Observer.
http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/politics-government/article144233494.html
This should not be surprising. The Sons of Confederate Veterans has promoted this view in their magazines, in the books they promote.
This is the article quoting North Carolina House Rep. Larry Pittman.
In his post, Pittman said North Carolina should uphold traditional marriage “in spite of the opinion of a federal court.”
“And if Hitler had won, should the world just get over it?” he wrote. “Lincoln was the same sort if (sic) tyrant, and personally responsible for the deaths of over 800,000 Americans in a war that was unnecessary and unconstitutional.”Click on it and you can see the Confederate Veteran has an article, "Lincoln's Band of Tyrants" where he is compared to Hitler and Marx. Magazine to the left side.
By the way Olustee was a massacre of African American troops, and note the article about Mandela.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant is a dues paying member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans
It is reported that Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant is a dues paying member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in this article in the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
http://www.nola.com/opinions/index.ssf/2017/04/governor_confederate_veterans.html
For those wanting to know what type of group the Sons of Confederate Veterans is should read this article:
http://www.blackcommentator.com/526/526_confederacy_sebesta_guest_share.html
As the title correctly indicates it is about the racism and extremism of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
